A lot of drivers have crashed in Busch and Cup cars but NOT on the street. Also those cars have millions in design research for safety and they are about as safe as you can make a race car. And people still get killed in them. Not to start an argument, but I hardly see how that compares with the question asked here. One of the most dangerous cars ever made was the Cobras and they are for the most part driven on the street and in traffic. I would take a hard top and especially a Cup or Busch car with it's safety devices over my Cobra any day.
