I need to know a few things about a 351W. I am building a 1965 Mustang fastback that I am hoping to set up to run in the vintage road race, so here goes.
1.) is it safe to bore/stroke the stock 351W block to 408ci?
2.) Would it be safe to run 13:1 compression?
3.) My aftermarket parts include Trick Flow Twisted Wedge heads, Trick Flow Pistons, a Comp Cams bumpstick, Melling high Volume
oil Pump, Moroso baffled
oil pan, Comp lifters and a Edelbrock Victor Jr. manifold. What roller rockers are recommended for this setup? Should I use 1.7:1 or 1.6: rockers? The engine should put out about 750hp.
4.) What suspension components should I include?
5.) Will a toploader 4 speed hanle the stresses of road racing, or should I upgrade to a tremec?
6.) What 9" rearend will fit under the 1965 Mustang Fastback with minimal mods?
