Default stroker engine problem...advice please

Help..

I'm running in my 331 stroker engine nice and carefully, but tonight, I was driving along when BANG BANG BANG lots of noise.
I managed to drive (very) gently home, and upon removing the rocker cover, discovered that the adjusting nut on my Scorpion roller rocker (no 5 cyl ex) had come right off and the rocker arm was just sitting on the stud and not opening the valve. The adjusting nut had not gone anywhere and I retrieved it safely. There seems to be no damage to the nut, rocker arm or drivetrain, and there are no metal shavings anywhere. Is it possible I have done any damage to my engine?
Thanks

Simon (very worried)
