V 8,

Your English is a lot better than my Turkish or Arabic. Good for you! Don't let any comments made by these people bother you. Believe it or not, is is mostly all in fun.

You might consider a simpler and less expensive option. Mallory makes a very good distributor called UNILITE. It is breakerless, just as the DUI and HEI are. It uses light instead of magnetism. You must use a coil with it, just like older distributors do.

I used the UNILITE distributor with a high voltage coil and 8mm wires on my 427 Ford engine and on the dynamometer, (an engine test) it produced nearly 500 horse power.

With this combination, I had absolutely no misfires and never had to replace any parts in the distributor. It is also very easy to install and connect.

Another item is size. The Mallory UNILITE is the same size and shape as a stock breaker point distributor. The DUI and HEI units are much larger. They can be a nuisance when running the spark plug wires close to carburetors and throttle linkage.

Good luck to you V 8. Let us know if we can help any more with this.

Al
