Default CA registration question: used car, 1975 block

I posted this question in my other thread but in case the right people don't see it i thought i'd start a new thread. I just bought a completed FFR Daytona Coupe. It has had 2 owners. The engine block is a 1975. I believe it is currently registered in CA as a 1975 but am not totally sure.

What do i need to do to register it? I have read all the stuff about SB100 but i do not think that applies to me since the car has already been registered. Also i'm hoping that i can skirt around all of these expemption things and just register it normally because the block is smog exempt in 2004.

I just want to make sure this all goes smoothly. I tried to search but i don't think this specific case has been addressed.
