I'm running 1.063 compression height pistons in my engines. It isn't any problem at all. Because I started with a 9.5 deck, we could have run a 1.26 CH and kept the same 6.25 rod but, for reliability reasons, we used the shorter and much lighter piston. CP Pistons and JE Pistons have the best designs for these applications.
