Rick - Christmas is a bigger deal here than there, I suspect, mainly, of course, since we don't recognise Thanksgiving!
Otherwise, things are probably much the same, except that you would not stop everything to watch the Queen's Speech on Xmas Day, nor go swimming in the Serpentine (Hyde Park) on Boxing Day. And we get perennial repeats of certain movies every year, things like "633 Squadron", "The Snow Goose", you get the picture. I am not sure what qualifies a film to allow it to be rerun every Christmas, schmaltz probably.
Personally, weather permitting, I try to go for a nice brisk Cobra drive on Boxing Day. Wearing my latest Christmas jumper, of course.
