Any one who dosen't know of the Rip Cords isn't a Cobra Nut.
I was in Hemet, out of town when the earthquake struck, picking up my Mother-In-Law for the holiday, she saved a clipping for me from "The Press Enterprise":
"Automotive Icon Carroll Shelby and nostalgia buffs have a new holiday tune to croon. To honor the 40th anniveraary of Shelby's popular Cobra, the Rip Chords have given a Christmas spin to the 1960s hit "Hey Little Cobra." The just released "Santa's Got A Cobra" was written by Carol Conners, composer of the first Cobra hit.
The new holiday version of the 1964 song was reinvented to celebrate the debut of the Cobra for decades ago.
"Carroll Shelby has a Cobra, now Santa has a Cobra, and I am still wishing for one of my original Cobras back under my Christmas tree," said Connors who once had three.
The idea to resurrect the Cobra theme came in May when former Beach Boy Al Jardine urged the groupe to resurrect some of their original songs."
And I see by the above post that the news is already out.
