Like the saying goes "If it ain't broke, don't fix it!"

We've had pretty good luck with the Spax. Almost all failures have been as a result of the shaft seal going bad. When you lay the car up, spray some rubber lube or silicone onto the shaft so that flows onto the top of the shock.

As the shock wears, you can always adjust the damping screw to compensate.
