Neil:

Some "tips"...........

Be very careful when you are forming your three sections of steel tubing for the drive cable. Be sure that you properly flare the ends that are pinched in place by the wiper boxes, and that any burrs are properly removed and the interior of the tubing is spotlessly clean. I would recommend stainless steel for these tubes....some folks use aluminum, and while it is easier to bend, the steel inner cable will eventually start to wear the inner surfaces, creating aluminum debris inside.

Also give a lot of attention to the correct bends of the tubing, avoiding a sharp radius anywhere in the three sections. Pay particular attention to the U shaped section from the wiper motor and the first wiper box. Use enough high quality (I used a clear synthetic) grease to ensure smooth and quiet operation. Be sure to rubber mount your wiper motor for quietness and so that it has a bit of "give".
