Thanks for the reply. The engines are in a boat that I have owned for a long time. I also knew the previous owners. It has always been in fresh water, so there is no rust. They look like new. There are 830 hours of low speed operation on them. The boat is so big that the previous owner was afraid to drive it. The engines are operated at about 1,800 rpm most of the time. The boat will burn 45 gallons per hour if you give it any throttle. They were built in 1968. The boat is getting old, and I want to sell it. I need to know more about the reverse rotation differences.
