Default Once again, thanks!

Don, Pete - thanks for the replies. I was thinking about it today, and it's hard to argue with the natural placement of the T-5 shifter. I remember being stuck in traffic once, and realizing that in 1st gear, I was resting my hand on the shift knob while using my thumb to keep the steering wheel straight as I crept along.

That being said ... Don - would your machine shop be able to build one that extended the normal T-5 rearward dogleg so that when it was bent forward from that point the end wouldn't be much past where it is naturally? I'd be up for being a test subject for at least a couple of tries (up to what I would have spent for the Finish Line shifter, anyway).

Next question - have you put 17" rims and tires on one of your cars? If so, was it Jack21's combo (235/45s in front, 275/40s in back)? Based on your rim width recommendations, looks like the biggest I can go is 255/45s and 285/40s (giving up about 1/2" of tireheight in front and 1" in back). You've got a nice picture of a blue car that you used to test image posting on the cr forum - I like the offset differences on that car - the rear looks much deeper than the front - if that wasn't a custom rear end, do you remember what you put on that one (offset-wise, and tire size wise, even though it looks like a 15" combo)?

Last question (honest!) - can I get any or all of this through CRII? Are you caught up enough to start handling parts yet?

Thanks,

JLW
