I just purchased a Backdraft roller (before the price increase
) and will be installing the engine and tranny myself (with a little help). Has anyone done the same? I've seen a lot of posts where people had the dealer do the install.
I'm looking for some insight that may avoid any pitfalls. I have a 1972 Ford 302 block that I bored .030" over and I am doing a carb set up of the Edelbrock Performer RPM build. I am mating that to a T-5 HD.
Do motor mounts come with the roller? If not, what brand/style are right for a Backdraft?
Is the rear Tranny mount on the roller or do I need to get one?
Has anyone added a driveshaft safety loop to their Backdraft?
I think you can see where I'm going here. Even though the roller is advertised to only need engine and tranny; What do I really need?
Any help with the "unknown" would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
