That's what I will be doing in the spring as well. Can't wait!

A 427FE thread has more action on the 429/460 forum than the 385 series do.

I noticed that too. Pretty funny, although maybe not for the 385 guys.

I feel so nekkid having all that stuff on the web.

BTW, the "500HP!!!" claims are used-car salesman smoke. The dyno sheet shows a peak just over 440. The original owner has no idea where the guy got the 500 figure. I think "around 500 HP" is a meaningless yack-marker in this game.

Maybe not. But the 385 folks are all out in their garages wondering how to make the engine fit.

Gotta retract that, carbs arrived and are not as represented and they are going back to the seller. So I am still in the market for a deal on a set of BJ/BKs. Sorry for the thread-jack.

el, here's one post from the FE Forum for your carbs, I think:

http://www.network54.com/Forum/75943...49/MORE++STUFF

Try over there.

Those are sold, but I am watching it. I will ultimately wind up having to buy a new set, I was just hoping to find a set "lying around."

One of the guys over in fordfe.com had an "unadvertised" used set they were willing to part with several months ago. For the life of me I can't remember who it was. I'd try putting a WTB over in their classified section and see if you get any bites.

The new carbs are $1050 a set.. I've heard several horror stories from different people about the re-pops though.
