It's built but hasn't been fired up yet. Does that count?

I AM RUNNING A 460 CRATE MOTOR WITH ATOP LOADER AND A 9" REAR-END. HAVE ABOUT 3,000 MILES ON THE B&B COBRA, EVERYTHING IS RUNNING FINE AND SMOOTH. LOT'S & LOT'S POWER AND LOW END TORQUE. I JUST LOVE THE LOOKS AND THUMBS UP I GET WITH IT IDLING AT A STOP LIGHT.

Update, ( 12/26/06 ) I now have a little over 10,000 miles and it is really starting to run strong now. Hang on and let 'er rip !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Mine installed in a F5R. See the dyno numbers. A bit lower than previous posts that I attribute to the restrictive TorkerII intake and a smaller 750 Carb. Love the torque matched to a Tremec 5 speed. Rear 2.73 gears doesn't provide the kick in the pants, but at 15mpg with a BBF, I can't complain, can I?

I haven't ordered my 460/535 HP crate motor yet, but have a question for you BBF guys:

Can I take out the stock cam (588/614 lift) and replace it with the 600 HP cam (647/647 lift) and not put a valve through the piston top?

Default My 460

460 built primarily for street cruising, backed up by a C6 with 3.08 rear gears.

Complete, but on the engine stand ready to be put in.
Edelbrock Torker II (for hood clearance, otherwise might use Weiand Stealth)
Edelbrock 800 CFM vacuum secondary carb.
2.19/1.76 valves. 218/228 cam. Roller rockers. 9.4 CR Speed-Pro hyperuetectic pistons .030 over with coated skirts.

Stock heads machined for larger valves, mild port work and milled .010, Block was decked .030 as well for tight quench area. Supposedly good for an extra 20-30 horses if quench is .030-.040 range.

Haven't had it dyno'd yet, but Desktop Dyno says 469 HP, 510 ft. lbs. I would be happy if it is close to that.

Cool Sign in..

I'm running a 460/560 crate motor, with a few extra tweaks. It's proven to be an excellent all around performer, and hasn't skipped a beat. The only negative is a BIG appetite for expensive gas!

Default "385" series

Running .030" over 460, Cast Iron heads ported and flowed, TRW 11.1 pistons, Chev BB roller rockers and pushrods, Torker II, Holley FI, T56 Box, 3.31 rear.

430Hp and 511ft/lbs. (at 3000 Rpm) Great torque and sounds awesome.

Here are the ones that were on mine. They were not the tall covers, so there was a 1.0 inch spacer to raise them up.
