Default New member / Turn Key Cobras

Hi all,

I just joined CC because I want to learn and explore the world of Cobras. I am from Spain, so I am not used to these big V8's, and I love them. I have an easy question for you. I am considering purchasing a turn key cobra and would like to know your opinion. I read that the best ones are from Superformance or ERA. Is this true? Are there any other manofacturers that you would include there?. Do you recommend a small or a big block. Can I buy brand new engines? Please drop me a line here or at juliolopezgonzalez@yahoo.com

thank you

see you on the road!

Welcome!
Yes, Superformance and ERA both make beautiful cars..as does Kirkham. I would suggest in your situation a small block--I know how expensive petrol is in Europe!

Cool

I have a custom to the max turnkey West Coast cobra on order, but it is a larger custom version of the cobra, much improved but heavier indeed, and needs a big block motor. Mine is currently getting it's 514 Cubic Inch EFI motor installed (Ford bracket race motor, without the FI it is 600 horsepower) West coast cars need the bigger motor, but in my opinion they are by far the best engineered of the cobra copies. They do not look like and *original* cobra, but look like one on steroids...and they are very luxurious as far as interior...mine will have all leather interior, and every accessory and feature I could get, very show quality....it also will get really lousy gas mileage, but few cars can beat it on the road...
West coast's website is www.cobrakit.com
