I've got about 600hp on 91 Octane with no problems. 600hp seems about right to me. No nitrous etc. 10.5 : 1 compression with the aluminum Cobrajet heads. Life is good

Hey, all you guys in Southern California, are you coming to the Rides and Ribs at the Beach on the 24th?????

It's in Huntington Beach at noon a week from Sunday. E-mail me at webegolfers1@cox.net for information and to sign up. We will be in Kit Car Magazine based on the meeting, so be there or be square.

See you on the 24th,

We remain FASTERNU,

Norm and Laurie

I think "octane boost" is 108 octane, a few dollars for a little bottle. It's much cheaper to mix 100 octane from Union 76. They have scattered stations with 100 octane pumps. You can call 1-800-345-0076 for info. Some people also use toluene as a cheap fuel booster. I'm mixing 1:8 which puts me at 92 octane ((91*8)+(100*1))/9=92. It's a pain but my non-intercooled supercharger needs it (10 psi). See http://www.76.com/

Regards,
Barry

Regarding the 600hp motor: How wild is the cam? What is your idle like? How about low rpm torque? How does it sound compared to a 427 SO? I think this would be a great motor for the price.

Thanks

Barry just got my spf with 520stroker on Feb 27. I would offer you a ride but got a broken foot and the car is not registered yet.
When I'm done with everything we can meet, I'm in Glendale. Been only a passenger in my car and I can tell it pulls hard. Dean
at HOC build the engine. You should stop by there place and check out the cars and ask lot of questions. Dean can build you anything you want and in any stage. He builds 418strokers that will seperate you head from your neck. Right now the're working on fuel injection systems for the small blocks and soon the're going to build some for the 460's. Check them out and make your decision on how radical you want your engine. Tell them Joe Mag sent you. Just remember on thing BIG BLOCK RULES

Cobra fever, Thanks for the offer! Give me a call when your car is ready. I'm hanging around a group that meets periodically in Woodland Hills. They're meeting at TopZ on Canoga Ave. tomorrow at 10:30 for a run to the Rock Store.

Regards,

FASTERNU,

I might make it but it's hard to say right now.
