460 Flywheel
Need Some Help. Just got my flywheel back from machine shop. They balanced it ,put new ring gear on it(184 tooth), cut for centerforce clutch rivet(as per centerforce). Now the problem. My new centerforce clutch won't bolt up. I'm using a 1 3/8" input and ordered clutch set for 429,428 since no listing for big input 460 4 speed, what did I screw up? Also the 460 crank doesn't seem to be machined for pilot bushing. I might have to push this thing to DVSFIII.

Your crank will take a pilot bearing. All Ford cranks have this provision. Your flywheel is probably drilled only for a 12" clutch. Call Mark at Dynamic Motorsports (513) 738 4000. He can give you the part #s you need or he can sell you a set up that will fit. He has very good prices. Good luck, Mike |
