Call Mike Forte at Forte Parts Connection.

http://www.fortesparts.com/

He now sells a kit for the 385 series that allows you to adapt a Viper T56 6spd to a 385 series. It looks a lot like mine. Pictures at http://www.racesystems.com/cobra He also sells kits for the Tremecs.

Mike,

You can hook up either (5 or 6 speed), couple of notes for you:

1) Tremec TKO 600 or TKO 600 road race (5-speeds) handle 600 ft/lb torque and they have up to 8 different shifter locations. 2" offset shifter is avalable, Tremec sells one, Forte seels one, etc..

2) The Tremec T56 (6-speed) is a longer & bigger tranny than the TKO 600's but you are picking up that extra (6th) gear. Your shifter postion will be further back.

Also make sure you check out the gear mix on the 5 or 6 speed to make sure they are what you want and also look into what rear gears you are running. That will have an effect of how either 5 or 6 speed works for you.
