Need to notch the frame need advise

I have a LA Exotics and we are in the process of dropping a 466 Ford crate motor into it. We need to notch the frame next to the starter to make it fit. I have been told it should be reinforced but I am unclear on exactly the best way. If you have any advise or photos please help. Thanks a million once again!!!!

I have basically the same engine as you, but it fit great between my lonestar frame rails. My problem was with the shifter on my toploader. I had to notch out a 3" section of the corner of the seat pan. After that, I welded 1/4" steel to fill in the hole I had cut out. No problem. I also had to cut the side of the bellhousing by the starter.

If you are having to notch it because of the starter, you might look to see if a smaller starter is a solution.

Just a thought.

Spoke to B+B Cobras and they gave me great advise and a drawing on how to modify the frame!! My cobra is at a really good body shop that will perform the work. Thanks again to B+B for their time!!!!!
