Exclamation Help

Hello, i bought a 1972 429 at a junkyard for $100.00, then i took it to get rebuilt. i explained that i wanted a strong street machine and it cost me around $4,000.00. the shop wouldn't give me any information on what they did to the motor. well yes it will smoke some chevy's, but i need more. what i mean more is i cant afford a true cobra jet so im asking is there anybody out there that can help. im wanting to convert my 429 over to a cobra plus be very strong in everyway. so can anybody tell me or push me in the right direction with plans, specs, parts list etc. i would be very grateful.

I can't imagine your speed shop not telling you what you paid for. A good rebuilt 429 w/a mild cam, intake and headers could easily make 400hp. But you need to know what they did.
