Karlos,

Yeah, the 9million pound springs and the 7400rpm shifts. Never did really like that motor. The next one will be a Shafiroff 540 short block with 10:1CR and matching cam. Sure will be nice to run pump gas.

Itbites,

Here is link where i buy all my stuff they are very good people to deal with and the parts are as good as anybody's....I have used their 540,496,383 kits not the first bad part....with the 540 i prolly put 500 1/8 miles passes in a dragster then pulled it out installed new rings and bearings, roller lifters and raced for a 1/2 season then sold it.
They also sell kits for Ford engines.

If I was going to do a Chevy powerplant, I would seriously look at the Z06 LS7 crate motor.

Look at this LS engine with 440 HP and a carb manifold....this would be cool also...

Personally I think all cobras are kit cars. The originals were brought over here and pieced together.........
