Did you buy all your parts yet? If not I may have some for you new, pistons, intake manifold, etc.

It is all already there and put together. I bought the car used and am just trying to get feedback on the build that was put together for this car. Thanks.

From the part numbers you listed it sounds like you have a Ford crate engine. SVO is now Ford Racing... or someone built it from mostly Ford performance parts. Sounds to be approximately 500 hp...all good parts. All that matters is how does it go...and for how long.

With those heads, along with the aggressive cam, you might want to think about a Torker II single plane intake. You should gain some high end power, without giving up much on the bottom....as if you would notice anyway.

Another thing.....the stock SPF exhaust may be choking off some power. You might investigate a larger ID less restrictive muffler.

The Torker won't fit under the hood of the SPF.
You may benefit on the top end from a slightly larger carb.
You might want to check the rods and see if they are the stock Ford rods or aftermarket.

Hi xlr8or,
I think ya got it backwards. Here are the manifold heights from the Edelbrock web site http://www.edelbrock.com/automotive/...#hoodclearance :
Edelbrock Performer 460 Manifold height: A-3.75", B-4.45" (same as stock)
Edelbrock Torker II 460 Manifold ht.: A-3.50", B-4.25"
As you can see, the Torker is 0.2" shorter in front and 0.25" shorter at the rear.
VOE here (voice of experience), as I stepped in this one when trying to fit my 460 under a decent sized air filter

Thanks everyone for the info. I was also wondering if the airfilter on the car might be too small. I ran the calculator on the performance unlimited site and it seems that it may be. It is the long, thin crinkle Cobra type. You can see pictures in my gallery. Thanks again.

Yep. I think that is the one I need to switch to. The one I have is longer but much thinner.

Replace your factory rocker bolts with longer threads. The factory rocker bolt has about 12mm of thread and sooner or later tends to snap the rocker post clean off the SCJ Kaase heads. Also add rocker girdles to tighten everything up.
The single plane inlet manifold will fit under the hood.
Have a balance tube installed between your side pipes, this will resolve the HP drop due to the SPF factory pipes.
Nice colour car!
