Question Ford 557 Stroker Kit

Hello, I recently purchased the scat 557ci stroker kit, 4.500 stroke crankshaft,6.700 H-Beam rods and 080 Forged pistons ( 4.440 bore ) as i was planning to rebuild it as a high performance 460ci, I purchased the Ford Racing camshaft M-6250 C460 ( 595/621 Lift ) will this camshaft work with the 557ci kit ? I have the Victor intake 2966 and a 950cfm carb, will the 950cfm be O-K to use now that I will be adding nearly 100 cubic inches, or would I be better off going up to a 1050cfm Holley and the Victor intake 2965 to match the 1050cfm carb. Compression will be 10/5 to 1, Cast heads reworked to SCJ specs 2-25 inlet valve & 1.76 Exhaust, gearbox is a Toploader 4 speed. Thanks Jamie.

Default cam retard

Great link, but now I have to sigh in to another forum...

We stroked a 514 to 557 and ran out of revs (only 5500 instead of 6500).

Do we have to retard the cam more (amongst other possibilities)?
We use a 1050cfm carb.

Dominik

Default code

hi Tom,

internet can be ablessing at times...
not today, the whole country (south-africa) seems to experience an internet surge - no broadcast speed. Painful to sign in. Think dial-up speed 33k

I tried to sign up at the 460 forum, I couldn't see the code.
Now I would have to mail the admin, who in turn would have to delelect my mail from spam, becuse it has a german domain.

once he's done I have to find his mail in my spam filter...
next week am am on a ship for some days...

geddit? ;-)

I open a new thread...
with a little luck I get some input (and can open it!) tomorrow...

dominik, cape town :-)
