Default 460 worth it?

hello I stumbled on this sight while looking for info on 460 engines and have a chance to get a 460 with tranne out of a 78 continental is this engine worth building up? where there different type blocks with this size and year? or where they all the same about all I know ahead swap would be in order. I got a 70gt torino with a 351c and thinking 460 for this car. would this be the one to go for? thanks in advance

Well it looks as though you have one more site to stumble to -> http://www.460ford.com/index.php

Enjoy.

Last year I built a nice 460 that I put into my 63 Merc and I got all the swap stuff from Crites Restorations in Ohio, they have mounts, hedders and lots of special items for Ford swaps.

What model Merc? I have a 63 Merc Comet that I'd like to fit a 460 into, and know that there'll have to be some serious shock tower surgery, and likely also some steering/suspension conversion work also.

Got any pics?

Thanks,

Craig
