Boxhead, it should be no problem to get the supplies you need into the container, but you WILL need the either a freight forwarder or the company that is putting the buggy into the can to do the paperwork. Export paperwork can be a pain on both ends. So make sure your friend as a willing participant in the US to make the commercial invoices and import/export documents. Otherwise his ride can get hung up in customs while you try and sort your sh*t out.
