No matter how much hp someone has,it will never be enough for someone else......Take a ride in an FFR Spec Racer,250 hp,273 rear gear, with a good driver and well set-up car and he'll scare the daylights out of you, much less 500+ hp... I have seen one Superformance with a big block that dyno'ed at 648hp.... Not needed,NO,but that's what the owner wanted and that's what he paid for and got....
BTW,Nextel Cup parts are of the highest quality and some of the best and most reliable parts you can put in an engine.... I know of several top notch dirt track teams around here that run Cup motors or at least parts, they claim they actually save money by using these parts because they last so long with only routine mantinence.....
The way I look at it,.it's his money and buisness what he puts under his hood....The owners of these cars are responsible for their car and their actions or lack of actions, not the engine builders or car manufacteres....
I beleive mrmustang means well with his post about liability issues, but when we resort to suing the engine builders for building too much dangerous hp,then this whole country of ours will be in one hell of a situation......People need to take responsibility for their own actions and not try to find someone else to sue and blame their mistakes on.....
Just my .02 cents on the subject.....
