Terry: The Continuation series has the same "Shelby" provenance (source/origin) as the original series: Carroll Shelby. Its history as to construction is different. Also the original series has the distinction of being the series to make the car famous which give them that "added specialness or aura" if you will. They where there when history was being made. Some of the originals have the "history" of being particularly significant to the history of the Cobra by virtue of their racing accomplishments which make them even more special. Interestingly, this history also belongs to the Continuation Cobra as its history too. A family tree history so to speak.

Same car though. One new and available for purchase by the enthusiast at a relatively affordable price. One old, limited in number and very expensive because of there limited number.

Non Shelbys have no Shelby provenance.
