I'm 6'4" and had the same concern.

The newer SPF "bladder" seats with the netting sit much higher than the old "pad" seats. I opted for the old seats at purchase to give me some height advantage. You might ask to see if someone will trade with you.

To get the seats further back I just removed the seat rails completely. After removing rails and bolts, I shoved the seat all the way back and drilled up through the frame holes from underneath the car into the fiberglass seat frame. I then bolted the seat, using large washers, directly down to the car.

This might seam crude but it gives you maximum room.
