Terry K: I'm not suggesting that the CSX 4000's should be bought as investment vehicles or that you should replace any vintage collectibles with them. Not yet anyway. They do, however, seem to do well on the auction block.
When the original Cobras were produced no ever thought they would be a wise investment as to future value either. Couldn't give'em away for a while. Remember?
Who knows what the future may be. Did you ever think a production Z28 Camaro would sell for over $100K?
It is interesting that some Continuation Cobras have sold for at auction for more than or near the same as what some original 289s can be purchased for. It may be that many buying them see them as genuine Shelby Cobras and not replicas of one.
Time will tell.
In the mean time I drive and enjoy mine.
