You are not alone. I have a Contemporary with a 427 center oiler. I have the very same problem. From the very beginning, the clutch fork on my car has to have the end ground off. I need to grind off all the way back to just where the slave cylinder rod goes through. It is especially tight on the bottom of the fork against the top side of the frame tube. The slave cylinder in my car is an old Girling cylinder (no longer findable) and it is mounted to the block with a custom bracket. It too just clears the frame tube.
