Default Rear View Mirrors - Anything Better

I have the typical dash mounted rear view mirror on my Cobra as well as the driver's side fender mount mirror. I do not know about you but my dash mount is less than adequate for full rear view coverage. The fender mount is fine.

Is there any way to increase the coverage or field of view in the rear view dash mount mirror? I was wondering if there is a convex mirror lens that could be mounted in the existing frame that would provide a wider field of view? I do not want to install anything that would look significantly non-period or authentic.

Any Ideas?
