Actually, Dove has managed to carry on the tradition of crappy casting into the 21st century. I just finished a set of Dove Hi-Riser aluminum heads that have the identical pitting in the combustion chamber. It doesn't hurt anything, just looks lousy. My tunnel port heads are better, but not by a bunch.
I kind of got in the middle of that agrument on the FE site. I've worked on both aluminum originals and Doves and by looking at the supplied photos, they look much more like the Doves I've done than the set of originals I did.
I guess if the sell for $1,500, they're Doves. If the sell for $15,000,
they,re real
