It's actually quiet simple on applying Hprsepower/Torque to the road, AAHH but that's what separates the many COBRA repops, just as a lot of other features.
It's the rear suspension design, and virtually NOT ANOTHER reason.
While it has to be understood, you need to quantitate the following:
1. Horsepower/Torque used.
2. Weight and their locations.
3. Size tires and contact patch.
4. Spring ratings/Shock valving.
With no more than that, you can get it applied.
Just chunk a bunch of items back there and it never will hook.
The PANOZ LMP proves that very principal, and it's a front engined FORD 351 powered IRS car not unlike the COBRA arrangement. And it hangs with most of the cars in the prototype field. It will out drag the CORVETTE C5R, out brake some of the million dollar 1000HP mid engine cars and so on...
