My vote would be to do as we did last time. I enjoyed watching the others run, and since we got to go to the front of the line when we wanted to run, I believe most got to sling it down the track as many times as desired. Of course, Cracker may want to push his nightly number of runs into the triple digits, but most of us were satifsied.
Also, it seems you could get around the low e.t. rule by easing over the start line to start the clock, wait a second or two, and then do a normal run. After that you could combine the second half of that run with the first half of one where you lauched as normal and eased off half way down the track. It's not ideal, but it's better than having a one sub 12 sec run for the night.
Just my thoughts.
