On an original spec suspension the top bolt holding the upright is removed. This should relase the upper control arm from the upright. The rod end is then adjusted in or out depending on which way you need to go. Normally once the car is set up a half turn or two should get you thier. You should not have to remove the rod end to do this. If this is still only as clear as mud then post some pics of your rear suspension and I will explain it to you using your pics. Hope this helps.
