Former Contemporary owner here. Also fairly strict adherance to originality with it.

First, as previously stated, the chebby engine really hurts the value. Second, I can state categorically that is not a $20K paint job. I spent $15K on mine and that one ain't even close to the quality.

I didn't look up the thread, but find the one about 1.5 million dollar Cobra. It is fairly recent and it has a link to a very nice Contemporary Cobra with all of the right pieces for $41K. The prosey sales pitch is a bit much, but what I can see of the car in the pictures and read in the jumbled text, it would be a good buy. Far better than the red one.
