I think June July August and September and October will be fine months for you to drive the Cobra in NH. However, June could have some black fly activity which will make for interesting swatting.

The roads up there can be wonderful to drive, especially in the summer and fall. Half the fun will be finding some new routes to drive on your cruises.

As for weather, I have pretty much never spent a weekend in Vt or NH without it raining at some time, this is especially true in the mountain areas. Thus I would imagine that your cruising opportunities in the Cobra will be fewer but of higher quality and without the Long Island congestion.
