In answer to the question.

I dont know what state the bores are in, Ive only got these pics but I have asked for more. Ive been offered this engine for £250 and in the UK this isnt a bad price. I have the option of an engine to be brought in from the US and the importer will gaurantee the block and crank crack free for me, it will be a pre 86 and be srtd or low overbore.

Am I better off with the US imported engine? (cost £400)

Or do i take a risk on the Aussie unit?!?

how can I tell if its a 302 block or a 351 block, I know it has 302 heads but wont they fit a 351 block?

I need a 302 not a 351 block.
