Well let me tell you all how a $30 part can ruin a ride. The short version is that T bone stopped by on his way home and diagnosed the problem. Seems the
oil pump $hit the bed and let a fleck of the impeller loose which jambed. This caused the pin on the distributrer gear to snap, thus the spinning motor with no spinning button! I wish I had your number Bud, I was back on the road loosin Radial TA's by 1PM this afternoon. Had to replace the high vol. pump and drive a new retaining pin into the dist. gear, but other than that, not too bad. Oh yea, the jack a$$ that built this Windsor didn't put a timing marker on so I had to guess at the timing and just put it back in at the same idle as before...runs great, but I am going to run it by T bones soon to dial it in with the proper light. The good news is that it isn't spitting out the radiator hose anymore either! Look forard to trying this again soon.
