Sounds like everyone had a good weekend - even TC made real progress. I had expected to join you, everything was back together Sat AM, was ready to add coolant, drop it off the stands, and fire it up. Took more coolant than usual, checked dipstick, 10 qts of oil and several gallons of coolant in the pan. After two days of checking and calls to Kaase, RDI, and Engine Systems, the problem was identified. The aluminum block has two sets of oil return passages from the rockers - one for regular heads and one for Ford hemi heads. Seems no one had used the SCJ heads on the block yet - and the hemi oil return runs straight into a water passage on the SCJ heads - free flow of water into the pan. Now I have to pull and tear down the motor, drill, tap and plug the 4 hemi oil returns, then put it all back together.
So it goes - being first to do something is an adventure.
