I remember tearing out a rear leaf spring on my Dad's 62 Comet doing a 4 wheel drift. That was a pretty good trick with all of 172 cubic inches. I didn't realize I had done it, and the next morning he asked me what I had run over with the car. There it was in the driveway with a decided list to port. I claimed innocence, and he let it pass. Unfortunately the new leaf spring was stronger than the other, so for the rest of the life of the car it had a less pronounced list to starboard.
