I had a competition build done on the engine. It was built the first time to check clearances and then taken apart and work done. It was then assembled again for the 2nd and final time. I did leave .005 on the deck and I had custom push rods done. The builder was surprised that he did not have to fly cut the pistons. I used the Keith Black pistons with a -30 cc dish.

I understand that BT does make a good head. The issue is with the non-stock position of the exhaust ports. With the SPF BB 385 headers and side pipes, this forces the side pipes out of position slightly.
