Kevin;
The rotors are vented,but not drilled.... My prevouis pair of rotors were drilled..... One day about 60 miles from home,the right front caliper decided to stick on me..... I was in the middle of nowhere and had only a few simple hand tools.... Tried everything I could and finally got it to where I could drive home.... Naturally hot as it got the rotor cracked,right between to of the drilled holes.....That's when I put two new rotors/calipers/brake shoes on,about 500 miles ago....
I know people will disagree with my next statement,but here goes; when researching brakes/rotors/calipers,I contacted three of the largest makers of aftermarket calipers and rotors,talked to the tech people about what I was looking for and got their advise.....Two out of the three said the same thing to me about drilled/slotted rotors;they are for show,they actually do two things;1.make you rotors and make your brakes pads wear out quicker....2.they do not help your car stop in any shorter distance and the extra heat disappation is very minimal............This is from their own tech department................
BTW; the rotors are 11" diameter.........
