New to the fourm. I am thinking of buying a crate 302 with GT40 aluminum heads 345HP (B303 cam) and have a few questions.

Does anyone have some experience with this engine?

1. Does the idle have a lope?
2. Will this engine work with a stock C4 and stock converter?
3. What is the idle using a non efi, carb.(600CFM) setup?
4. Where is the best place (price) to buy a Ford crate engine?

I would like to replace the engine in my 40 Ford coupe with above.
The coupe has a stock 302 (pre 1976) with a Edelbrock 600 CFM carb, headers and has a stock C4.

Not looking to race but would like a nice engine that sounds good.
