Cool 4T...

Welcome to the gang.

I have the XB3 crate motor in my Cobra, now about 2600 miles; answers are as follows:

1. Yes, it lopes. Will give you a woody at idle speed and the right exhaust system, of which sidepipes are king.

2. Yes, autos are fine. Use a slightly higher stall than stock to take advantage of the cam's properties (in @ 2600, done by 6000)

3. Mine idles, reliably, at about 1000 rpm - but I've got an aluminum flywheel and could still drop that another 100 rpm or so. With an auto it will probably be about the same. I've got a 650 cfm mechanical Speed Demon on it.

4. Got mine from Diversified Motorsports in Michigan - $2900, delivered to my door. Don't have their email or website at the moment, but will post it when I do.

Engine is really excellent - sounds great, revs like a sprint car (alum. flywheel and 4.09's in the Jag rear), keeps weight down and can still scare the sh!t outta anybody thru the first 3 gears. Get a rev limiter in your car - you're gonna need it.
