Nuke if the builder will not do anything for you you may just want to start over. Again I have no idea what is in the engien as far as parts so it is hard to say. If you want to call me with a list of what the builder said he put in it I would have a better idea of what may be best.
One thing for sure is you are going to have to take it all the way down if you are going ot keep it. The big worry for me would be the block front crank bore. If the bearing spun and damaged the main bore you will have to have it rebored, line bored, that rasies the crank in the block and will cause a loose timing chain problem that can give you spark scatter at high rpm and will cause the cam to run late in relationship to the crank.
Sorry for what I am sur may be some spelling problems. I am one some new meds and they are screwing with my mind. No wise cracks from the gallery please.
