Man, you read my mind, I was thinking of doing exactly the same thing!
My thought was that it would be a fiberglass cammer top half and bolt to the top of the intake manifold with the real carburetor clamping it in place. A fake distributor would top it off and real plug wires would run to the rocker covers.
It will need a real 427 overflow tank in front connected to whatever's underneath.
