It has nothing to do with making it up, it has to do with what is, and what is not true speeds that the car was going. At 148mph, the front end of my race prepped Mustang got so light that it was unsafe to attempt to go any faster. This was a modern day car, with a 12 point cage, full race suspenion, and 400 rear wheel horsepower on a race track built for such speeds. To say that an older car with a stock suspension on regular roads could handle those same speeds is ludicrous and laughable at best........
I'm just pointing out the reality of it all as someone who has been out there....

PS: The personal attacks from Pat and Russ are not needed, as it brings this web site and forum down to a level of children trying to play king of the mountain......Since I know of several members here who race, and who have gone much faster than I ever will, it's not worth arguing any further unless more childish personal attacks happen against me..........
