This is why insist on a iron block over aluminum. Keeps the nose down longer and provides effective steering at indicated speed of 171. Calibrated to 168.7.

As for race cars not achieving some of the speeds others are in civilian attire. The rollbars, decals video cameras helmets and other racing gear has a tendecy to create aerodynamic spoil. Take that stuff off, the car will go faster.

Skinny street tires inflated for burn outs will provide less rolling resistance also.
